I have been searching for a job ever since I got laid off from Jolly Java due to COVID back in March of 2019. I was mad, upset, disappointed and sad, thinking that my co-workers and myself would go back once restrictions lifted.
I met these two incredible ladies who I have been working with over Zoom and now in person. They have helped me make my resume, fill out job applications, schedule and go to interviews, among other things that I can’t possibly remember off the top of my head.
It’s been a long and tough year of job rejections and failed interviews, but I now have a job working as a stylist at Lane Bryant.
Lane Bryant – or as I call it LB – is a clothing store for plus-sized women. Jenn – my awesome roommate – used to work there and when we visited the store manager, Lisa, one day, she said that she was hiring and I told her that I was interested.
A week later, I am now working there as a stylist. My job is to help women look their best, whether with a cute jacket, awesome pants, or a rocking dress.
I look forward to seeing you at the store!
